Function

Plan, Organize and Manage all the activities related to the Admissions and Registration Department and serve as the official keeper of the university’s student records.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Hire, evaluate and supervise the Admissions and Registration staff.
  2. Plan and perform the process of admission for the new batches of students.
  3. Organize and administer the registration, timetables, records, transcripts and graduation functions in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Responsible for auditing, maintaining, collecting and reporting all scholarship students to the Ministry of Higher Education.
  5. Provide leadership and recommendations for the implementation and updating of related technology.
  6. Problem solves all issues related to student registration and records.
  7. Prepare the departmental budget.
  8. Liaise with College Deans regarding degree and study plans and to facilitate improved services to students.
  9. Provide senior administration and College Deans with pertinent reports in a timely fashion.
  10. Councils and advices students, faculty and staff on academic matters.
  11. Assessing, evaluating and following up on Students Information System.
  12. Other related tasks as per line manager instructions.

Education

A Bachelor degree (preferably, a Master degree) in Administration, IT or a related field.

Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in Admissions and Registration (A&R) or a related field, 3 years of which at the level of a director or deputy director

  8. Experience in using technologies used by A&R such as a typical Student Information System (SIS)Ability to plan, organize and manage all A&R activities
  9. Familiarity with the admission process of MoHE's Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) scholarship program
  10. Familiarity with the American system of education is a plus
